This is where I put summaries of cases that I'm particularly proud of.

R. v. K.M. (2007 September 14), Toronto 07 300536-00 (Ont. C.J.)

Theft of a stolen car. The Court ruled that the fact that my client's bail papers from an unrelated matter were found in a car that was stolen then abandoned was insufficient to prove that my client stole the car.

R. v. A.N. (2007 April 18), Toronto (Ont. S.C.J.)

Negotiation of a forged $51,664.92 cheque. The forgery and negotiation were not contested, but the jury found that my client was not guilty because he did not know that the cheque was forged. The best part was that the judge rolled her eyes when the jury returned the verdict.

R. v. H.H. (2006 October 2), Brampton CR-05-00000303-0000 (Ont. S.C.J.)

Importing of 4.1 kg of cocaine in bodypacks on a flight arriving at Pearson Airport from Antigua. The importation was not contested, but the judge found that my client was not guilty because she was forced to do it.
